Terms and Conditions

Please ensure you have read and understood our Terms and Conditions before booking your tour.

Prices

Full payment is required at the time of booking. All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include 15% Goods and Services Tax. Prices are on a ‘per car’ basis and accounts for four persons per car. All other package prices are available upon expression of interest.

Price wise

Due to factors outside the control of Legend Tours, prices are subject to change. We also reserve the right to alter times, itineraries or arrange alternative transportation and services if required. These changes are often minor; however, we will advise you immediately as they become known to us.

Tiny Tots

We are happy to provide free baby seats while you are on tour with us, so while making bookings please mention if you need one. Children will be considered as a full seat passenger because as per the law and regulations they require a full seat for safety purposes.

Refunds

Here at Legend Tours, we understand that change in circumstance can happen and in respect of this, we will try our best to work in your interest wherever possible. However, we are unable to guarantee that our travel partners will do the same, so please let us know as soon as possible when any changes become known to you. Of course, sometimes things can be beyond our control as well, in which case we will follow the guidelines set below:

  • • A full refund will be issued for any day tours starting from Auckland or Dunedin if cancelled two days before the tour departure date. For all day tours that start outside of Auckland or Dunedin, a minimum of one week’s notice is required.
  • • No refund will be issued for a no show or change of mind for any reason on the day of departure.
  • • A full refund will be issued if a multiple day tour is cancelled at least 20 days before the departure date.
  • • For multiple day tour bookings, no refund will be granted if the customer simply no shows on the day of departure or tries to cancel within 20 days out from the departure date.
  • • No refund will be issued if a customer fails to show, cancels, has a change of mind or is no longer interested for whatever reason within 24 hours of the departure date. Please make sure that you choose your itinerary and activities carefully.

Complaints

Although we pride ourselves on having access to the best knowledge and practices in NZ tourism, we understand that the odd problem can occur. If you encounter any issues while on holiday with us, please feel free to notify us immediately, so we can make your holiday more enjoyable.

Important

Please note that activities such as scenic flights, boat cruises, helicopter flights, cable car rides, 4WD tours, white water rafting, camel rides, hot air ballooning, farm-stay options etc are not operated by Legend Tours and Travels Ltd. These activities can involve inherent risk of injury, death, accident, delay and loss, and the clients assumes all such risk in regards to any misadventure, death, injury, delay or loss which occurs during or as a result of any such activity.

General Conditions

Legend Tours is responsible for supplying the client all services and accommodation as described in the itinerary, except where such services cannot be supplied, or the relevant itinerary is changed due to delays or other conditions that are beyond the control of Legend Tours and Travels Ltd.
In such circumstances, we will do our best to supply suitable services, accommodation and itineraries of a comparable rate, and there shall be no refund granted. From time to time, it might be necessary for us to amend or alter itineraries, accommodation or sightseeing arrangements from those advised, due to road, weather or operational issues.
All of these changes are undertaken with your best interests and comfort in mind. Also, our friendly team are on hand to help you capture the moments through photography. These photos will be transferred onto DVD to be given to you at the conclusion of your tour and might also appear on our website or Facebook page – so if you do not wish for your photos to be used, please advise us. Any personal expenses incurred by a client as a result of any delay, alteration or curtailment of any tour, are the responsibility of the client (we do strongly recommend that all clients take our travel insurance). Legend Tours and Travels Ltd reserves the right to amend or cancel tours at any time.
