First stop to Parry Kauri Park to witness the two huge kauri trees. Take one of the board walks through the native bush.

Then enjoy spectacular rural and coastal scenery of Matakana.

Matakana is a small New Zealand town situated 10km east of Warkworth and less than one hour’s drive north of Auckland.

Premium wines have been produced in the area for some time and there are several new vineyards being developed.

Almost all the vineyards are on slopes, which help to drain the clay soils. Traditionally red wine growing regions there are now some outstanding white wines – especially Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. However the classic red varieties of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Pinot age, Pinot Noir and Sangiovese have shown consistent excellence.

Our recommendation is to visit – Ascension Wine Estate and Runner Duck Estate.
Lunch at Runner Duck Estate could be a great idea. (At your own expense)

On the way to Auckland, stop to be amazed at the Orewa’s most stunning long bay beach, relax before life gets too serious again.

Later you will be dropped off to any preferred place in Auckland city with a small memento from Legends to cherish ever after.
